REMOTE POSITION

Seeking an IT professional who will be responsible for administering the virtual infrastructure. The projects will include server and storage virtualization, high availability, business continuity, disaster recovery and security.

Key responsibility will be supporting a migration from VMWare.

Responsible for providing infrastructure design, maintenance and support including but not limited to:

• Sizing and firmware management on server and data center hardware.
• Provide capacity analysis and management, forecasting the need for data migrations and expansion in storage capacity.
• Analyze help desk tickets assigned to the group, resolve, and if necessary, escalate.
• Provide for business continuity during server-related problems.
• Provide for disaster recovery contingencies.
• Document all processes, system changes/fixes, and issues.
• Maintain consistent standardization of the server environment, infrastructure, functions, and objects.
• Support project teams on data migrations, server upgrades, rollouts, and production turnover.

Skills/Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Relevant experience in an enterprise environment with data center hardware and virtualization with VMware
• Horizon VDI Management
• Patch and Vulnerability Management
• System and Software Deployment
