Exciting new opportunity for a Technical Writer at a top food manufacturer in Columbus, OH!
Pay: $22-25/hr
Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm
This is a 6 month contract (at least) for project based work.
Job Overview: The technical writer is responsible for creating documentation that explains complex technical information in a clear, concise, and visual manner, understanding the needs of the target audience.
Essential Functions:
- Content Creation: Researching, writing, and editing technical documents like one-point lessons, procedures, and equipment guidelines.
- Collaboration: Working with SMEs, operators, and engineers to ensure accurate technical content.
- Revision and Updates: Regularly updating documents to reflect technological changes and ensure accuracy.
- Visual Aids: Creating diagrams and charts to enhance written content.
- Software Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other technical writing software.
- User Feedback: Improving documentation based on user input.
- Training: Providing end-user training on accessing and using technical documents.
- Adaptability: Quickly mastering new technical topics and tasks.
