Job Description

Position Title: Senior Instructional Designer
Location: 100% Remote (Must reside in or work Eastern Standard Time hours)
Duration: 07 Months (Possible Conversion/Extension)

Job Overview:
Client is seeking an experienced Senior Instructional Designers to join there team on a 7-month contract. These are fully remote positions require candidates who can work in alignment with the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone. The ideal candidates will be highly skilled in developing engaging training content—particularly in the retail space—and have strong proficiency in video production, instructional scripting, and micro-learning platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
Training Plan Development:
Write detailed training plans including key learning points, video scripts, and reinforcement questions for assigned departments.
Send training plans for SME (Subject Matter Expert) review and incorporate feedback accordingly.
Asset Management & Video Production:
Source visual assets from internal repositories (e.g., marketing asset libraries, etc.).
Generate voiceovers using AI platforms such as WellSaid.
Produce training videos in Adobe Premiere Pro using a mix of b-roll footage, sourced assets, and AI-generated voiceovers.
Submit videos for SME review and revise content based on their feedback.
Instructional Design & Microlearning:
Develop concise, engaging training content tailored to retail environments.
Create reinforcement questions and learning assessments to support knowledge retention.
Design micro-learning modules, preferably using Axonify or a similar platform.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with SMEs to gather input, validate content, and ensure instructional accuracy.
Maintain clear communication and documentation throughout the design and review process.
Other Duties:
Perform additional instructional design or content development tasks as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Senior Instructional Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing video and e-learning content.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and training video development.
Experience using WellSaid or other AI voiceover platforms.
Familiarity with Axonify or other micro-learning delivery tools.
Strong scripting skills and experience writing effective training content.
Ability to collaborate effectively with SMEs and stakeholders.
Background in retail training or related industries is highly preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
