Onward Search Education is actively seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter for a contracted, on-site position supporting secondary school students in the Silverdale, Washington area for the 2025–26 school year.
Position Details:
- Start Date: September 3, 2025
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Location: On-site at schools in Silverdale, WA
- Assignment Type: Payrolled, contract position
- Setting: Secondary education (middle/high school level)
- Role Type: 1:1 student support
Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time interpreting services between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL)
- Support a single student in academic and school-related activities
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accessibility and understanding
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in all educational settings
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., EIPA score of 3.5+, RID, or equivalent)
- Experience in K–12 or secondary school environments preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Silverdale, WA
