About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to join a dynamic team on a contract basis. As a Senior Scrum Master, you'll play a crucial role in guiding and supporting Agile teams to achieve their goals and drive continuous improvement. You'll work remotely, providing flexibility while engaging with teams and stakeholders to enhance performance and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Team Progress: Lead and support multiple teams or serve as the Release Train Engineer (RTE) for a SAFe Agile release train. Drive the team's progress toward their goals and foster continuous improvement in areas such as quality, predictability, and flow.
- Promote Improvement: Challenge existing practices to enhance team and ART performance. Guide teams in setting and achieving daily and iteration goals, and lead efforts in relentless improvement.
- Lead Meetings: Facilitate essential team meetings, including Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, and Retrospectives, as well as ART-level meetings like PI Planning and Scrum of Scrums.
- Enhance Communication: Improve communication and relationships between teams. Represent your team in Scrum of Scrums and other program-level ceremonies, coordinating work and improving overall effectiveness.
- Remove Impediments: Identify and address obstacles affecting team progress. Engage stakeholders to resolve issues and improve transparency and communication.
- Promote Lean-Agile Leadership: Infuse Lean-Agile principles and practices into the team and program. Drive cultural changes needed to enhance agility and business performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field. Alternatively, 4 additional years of relevant work experience in place of a degree.
- Experience: At least 8 years in Lean and Agile methodologies, with a minimum of 3 years as a Scrum Master or Kanban lead. Proven track record of leading Agile teams to maturity and successful outcomes.
- Preferred Experience: Experience as a Scrum Master on a SAFe Agile Release Train, with skills in value stream mapping and system-level optimization.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of Lean Agile values, principles, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines, and drive change effectively.

- SAFe Scrum Master Certification (Upon Hire)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSP) (Upon Hire)
- Certified SAFe® Release Train Engineer
- Certified Scrum Professional
