We have an immediate need for a Senior Environmental Engineer for our fast growing Edison (Metro Park), New Jersey Office.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill International in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Performing a wide range of environmental engineering analysis and design tasks related to: planning, environmental site investigation (subsurface and hazardous materials), remediation design and remedial operations
  • C oordination and presentation of design submissions with clients and environmental regulatory agencies
  • Perform and manage site investigations to observe and document existing conditions
  • Supervise the development of project plans, design calculations and specifications
  • Coordinate with other disciplines as required to deliver services
  • Complete and review planning documents, design calculations; assist in the preparation of bid packages, design drawings and technical specifications
  • Provide solutions to technical and contractual issues during the projects
  • Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small site restorations to large scale new construction
  • Engage with existing clients to expand our services and pursue new clients to support growth of the environmental business in New Jersey and the Northeast Region
  • Lead the preparation of proposals for environmental consulting services
  • Attend industry and business development events as a representative of the firm
  • Mentor and develop junior environmental group staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Science
  • 12+ years’ experience in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Consulting
  • NJ PE or PG required
  • NJ LSRP is a plus
  • Ability to provide guidance to engineers and scientists of all skill and experience levels
  • Understanding and application of environmental regulations, hazardous materials handling and disposal requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
