Position Summary

Cold Iron is seeking a Senior Animator to join us. This position is fully remote and open to applicants across the US and Canada.

Requirements

Your Responsibilities :

• A Senior Animator works collaboratively within the Animation team to animate assets/characters in Autodesk Maya or Motion Builder. 
• Takes direction and feedback from the Lead Animator to reach Art and Design goals.
• Actively engages in ideation and is able to pivot to better support Art and Design goals.
• Is a self-starter and is able to work with minimal supervision.
• Is able to set a high animation standard within the style parameters.
• Creative problem solving and drive features while collaborating with technical animators / programmers.
• Communicate effectively across disciplines. 
• Work with technical animators and provide feedback on rigs and tools.
• The expectation is to assume ownership of their tasks and resolve any issues proactively.
• Maintain an inclusive and supportive work ethic as a team player.

Your Qualifications :

• Expertise in animating assets and characters in Maya 
• Expertise in animation principles to create realistic human/creature animations
• Experience working with Mocap data in Motion Builder 
• Proficient in either UE, Unity or proprietary engines
• Minimum 1 game shipped 
• Minimum 10 years of experience 

Nice to Have :

• Experience with Animation Blue Prints
• Interest and ability to mentor junior animators

• Experience with realistic facial animation

Salary 

• $120,000 - $140,000
