As a **Security Guard - Armed Driver** in **San Jose, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As an Armed Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring designated areas within a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine checks while maintaining a visible presence to assist in preventing potential issues. You will carry a sidearm, baton, and pepper spray, and may be required to use handcuffs when necessary. Additionally, you will provide exceptional customer service and communication, embodying our values of agility, reliability, and innovation. A valid driver's license is required for this position, and prior security experience is preferred. **Position Type: Full Time** **Pay Rate: $24.39 / Hour** **Job Schedule:** **Day** **Time** Tue04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Wed04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Thur04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Fri04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sat04:00 PM - 12:00 AM **Responsibilities:** + Provide customer service by implementing procedures and site-specific policies, and engage in emergency response activities when necessary. + Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach. + Conduct regular and random checks around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions. **Minimum Requirements:** + Active CA .40 caliber firearm permit + Applicants must acknowledge and comply with firearms regulations. + Possession of an armed sidearm is a strict requirement. + Applicants must have experience with armed handcuff techniques. + Experience with armed pepper spray is required. + Applicants must be proficient in the use of an armed baton. + A valid driver's license is required in the job state. + Applicants must have at least 6 months of security experience. + Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Participate in industry-specific security training programs. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. **Perks and Benefits:** + Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions + Schedules that fit with your personal life goals + Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities + Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more...
