Title: Robotic Automation Engineer

Must Have:

5+ years of relevant work experience in Power Controls, Automation, and/or Robotics Engineering.
Knowledge of setting up base structures for robot installation according to company standards.
Working knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing process improvement techniques including, but not limited to, SQDCI, OTD, TPS, and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies and activities.
Knowledge of safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards.
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience in setting up robots and configuring robot I/O's, the off-line robotic simulation process in conjunction with PLC I/O's and HMI, exchanging tags and data between robots and PLC's through commonly used industrial protocols such as Ethernet IP, EtherCAT, Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, etc.
Experience with interfacing safety devices like E-Stops, light curtains and area scanners with robot programming.
Working knowledge of raw materials and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques, preferably in the door and window industry.
Working knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing process improvement techniques including, but not limited to, SQDCI, OTD, TPS, and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies and activities.

NICE TO HAVE

Knowledge of safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards.
Knowledge of automation applications with successful development and deployment experiences.
Knowledge of setting up base structures for robot installation according to company standards.
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other position applicable software applications.
Travel is primarily local during the business day. May on occasion travel to appropriate seminars and training.
