Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Manage website and digital projects from conception to delivery, working with staff at all levels of the organization to achieve business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1. Responsible for day-to-day project leadership and delivery.
2. Effectively manage project lifecycles while guiding a Scrum team to deliver high-quality digital products.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and project resources to implement digital projects and ensure goals are met.
4. Maintain easy-to-understand and well-communicated project plans throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Work with the Product Owner to ensure the highest value features are delivered within the established schedule and budget.
6. Actively participate in assisting the team to resolve issues and escalate as needed.
7. Manage project timelines and processes, regularly prioritizing and monitoring workflow.
8. Track progress daily; understand and help manage the product backlog.
9. Work with UX, designers, development team members, and technical leads to discover and implement requirements.
10. Facilitate effective and efficient team meetings.
11. Proactively escalate and inform any budget, timeline, deliverable, quality, or personnel issues as soon as an issue is known and facilitate joint problem-solving.
12. Prepare and conduct periodic project status reports to update project steering teams on progress, risks, and issues.
13. Complete other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or related field or equivalent work experience

Experience:

1. 3-5+ years of project management experience
2. Skilled Agile practitioner, Scrum Master experience is ideal

Skills and Abilities:

1. Experience in both project management and Agile methodologies
2. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
3. Hands-on leader
4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
5. Comfortable with both big-picture analysis and hands-on, detail-oriented task management
6. Strong understanding of digital platforms, tools, and technologies
7. Proficiency in managing large website implementations and complex projects
8. Experience customizing, leveraging, and managing with Jira and Confluence
9. Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet
10. Excellent communication – including verbal, written, and presentation skills as well as interpersonal communication skills
11. Ability to work in a multi-discipline team atmosphere in a leadership role
12. Ability to inspire teams to a high level of quality and performance
13. Enthusiasm, positive energy, and ability to maintain grace and a sense of humor under pressure
14. Experience working with business owners to gather requirements, write project specifications, and communicate requirements
15. Ability to take initiative, organize diverse tasks, work independently, and integrate and pursue corporate strategy
