Job Description

SUMMARY

Seeking a local Plant Manager with metal fabrication, assembly experience for an electric equipment supplier in northern Kentucky. Will consider those who live in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Pennsylvania who need minimal relocation assistance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Lead and support shop floor supervisors and associates to cultivate a cohesive, engaged, and motivated team.
• Establish work and quality standards for supervisors and employees, actively managing performance against these benchmarks. Provide timely feedback to all team members.
• Regularly communicate performance insights and create individual development plans, collaborating with employees to aid their professional growth and recommending changes to compensation as necessary.
• Ensure employees receive the necessary training and resources to excel in their roles.
• Prioritize work schedules in alignment with sales and production timelines.
• Assign work orders and delegate tasks based on the skills and capabilities of employees.
• Coordinate with production planning and supply chain teams to optimize shop operations.
• Ensure a safe working environment by maintaining a hazard-free workplace.
• Guide employees in safe work practices, addressing unsafe behaviors and holding the workforce accountable.

REQUIREMENTS

• A college degree in engineering or management is highly preferred.
• Metal fabrication, assembly and other secondary processes (CNC machining “Computer Numerical Control” machining, welding, etc.) experience required
• Prior experience in the electrical equipment supplier industry a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing management role.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and ISO standards is required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities
• Bilingual in Spanish is a must!
