Contract : W2, Sep 16, 2024 - May 31, 2025

Location : Remote (Approved work locations: Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming)

Pay Range : $52 - $63/hour dependent on location

Brief Summary :

The essential functions of a Pharmacist in Prior Authorization are reviewing Prior Authorization cases and rendering coverage determinations based on clinical criteria and plan design in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities :

• Receive phone calls from prior authorization pharmacy technicians and/or providers for clinical information
• Consult with physicians/providers, interpret clinical guideline criteria, and render/review coverage determination for prior authorization cases
• Advise on the use of medications and appropriate formulary alternatives
• Organize workload, set priorities, and complete assignments in a timely manner
• Perform duties in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Maintain productive working relationships with team members and other internal/external customers
• Ensure patient safety and quality of work
• Resolve issues and complaints in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Training shift: 8am to 4:30pm PST; Post-training shift: 10:30am to 7pm PST

Requirements :

• Bachelor's or Doctorate of Pharmacy; Active State Pharmacist License
• 6+ months of Customer Service/Customer Relations experience with healthcare professionals
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to work 5am to 12 midnight, including flexible hours, OT, and weekends
• Must have home internet access and a secure workspace/office at home
• Excellent attendance is a must
