Job Title: House/Dog Sitter

Location: Palisades/Santa Monica

Job Overview:

We are seeking a trustworthy, responsible, and caring individual to provide exceptional care for our home and beloved dog, Pluto. The ideal candidate will have a strong love for animals, especially dogs, and be comfortable managing household responsibilities. Preference will be given to candidates with experience as a vet or who have attended vet school.

Key Responsibilities:

Dog Sitting:

• Provide attentive and compassionate care to our French Bulldog, Pluto.
• Ensure regular feeding, exercise, and playtime routines are maintained.
• Administer any required medications or special care instructions.
• Monitor Pluto's health and behavior, reporting any concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, including regular cleaning of feeding areas, toys, and living spaces.

House Sitting:

• Ensure the security of the home, including locking doors and windows.
• Manage basic household tasks such as collecting mail, watering plants, and taking out the trash.
• Be present in the home during specified hours, especially overnight.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in pet sitting, house sitting, or a related role is preferred.
• Veterinary experience or attendance at vet school is highly desirable.
• Strong love for and comfort with dogs, with knowledge of dog care best practices.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to handle responsibilities independently.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle minor emergencies calmly and efficiently.
