SUMMARY: The Starmark Local, LLC Service Center Part Time Driver work 10-20 hours per week and performs weekly route truck white glove deliveries of Starmark funeral products as well as making product marketing visits to funeral homes located within 150 miles . They also support the Service Center Director in fulfilling the needs of customers. This position requires availability for unloading, stocking and managing the warehouse. The driver will adhere to excellent service standards to maintain high customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

LOCAL DELIVERY DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Loads and delivers funeral products to funeral homes, crematories and other customers on an established regional route utilizing state highways and GPS routing tools.
• Utilizes a lift gate, pallet jack and/or customer loading docks to load and unload customer deliveries.
• Performs pre-trip inspections and driving logs according to DOT regulations.
• Reviews and submits all paperwork to ensure accuracy, proper procedures, and high-quality standards.
• Establishes and maintains excellent relationship with all customers.
• Assist in loading/unloading of products on the shipping dock and/or building specialized packaging skids.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

On the job training is available for certain aspects of the role; however, a valid driver's license and high school diploma (or equivalent) is required. Candidates for this position should have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen. The possession of a commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred and Medical Examiner's Certificate (ME Certificate) is required. Previous experience with regional route driving, forklift, tow motor and/or delivery driving is a plus.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

Flexibility with work schedule is necessary. Routes typically occur through the week Monday through Friday, with the possibility for some later days and/or weekends. Candidate should possess excellent organizational skills, strong mathematic skills, and be attentive to detail. Ability to follow instructions, provide consistent and quality service, work independently and be self-motivated is essential. Good communication skills and teamwork are necessary to be successful. Ability to start ASAP a plus.
