The Nurse Manager is a registered Professional Nurse and assumes 24-hour responsibility for the daily operations of an individual unit. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of nursing services within the Infusion Cancer Center. This role includes ensuring high standards of patient care, overseeing staff performance, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The Nurse Manager will work collaboratively with the Montefiore Team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide exemplary care to cancer patients receiving infusion therapy.
Qualifications
• Licensed and currently registered under the laws of the State of New York as a Nurse.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
• Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• 3+ years of Nursing Supervisory experience
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in oncology or infusion therapy. Previous management or supervisory experience required.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
