Alera Group General Agency, is seeking a Medicare Benefit Consultant to join our Employee Benefits team . This position is Regionally Remote for Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio Candidates.

Alera Group General Agency (AIA) is a full-service General Agency with over twenty-five years of service to the broker community and consumers of Pennsylvania & West Virginia.

The Medicare Benefit Consultant is responsible to generate Alera Medicare sales. Taking and making telephone calls with prospective members. The consultant will schedule, organize, conduct and close public events (education/marketing/sales/health fairs). The consultant will educate prospective members on Medicare products and enroll into product of choice over the phone or other sales enrollment channels. The position will work from home and travel directly to events or prospective member locations. He/she reports to Director of Medicare and Individual Sales.

• Sell Medicare and Individual marketplace plans.
• Develop relationships with Alera Group Account Managers and sales representatives to offer Medicare Education to their employer and employee clients.
• Meet/exceed individual sales goals.
• Meet compliance requirements
• Develop relationships with centers of influence in the community to increase self-generated referrals.
• Conduct advertised sales presentations for prospects and leverage community partnerships to host events.
• Create a lead pipeline through provider partnerships and personal network.
• Meet with prospects who have responded to marketing campaigns or have been referred and have requested appointments.
• Focus on close ratio and lead pipeline, maintaining CRM updates appropriately.
• Attend sales training and department sessions.
• Create sales goals in conjunction with manager review
• Lead, collaborate and execute on provider and community relations activities including event planning, execution, and tracking.

• Medicare market knowledge in the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Ability to build productive relationships both internally and externally.

• Exhibits a high level of accountability to broker partners.

Education and Experience

• Previous Medicare insurance industry experience, knowledge of industry standards and practices, prior sales and/or client relations experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable PA Department of Insurance License required.
