Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Mebane, NC

Pay: $65k to $70k/year

Experience: Prior work experience in a food processing or food production environment is strongly preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's degree in Mechanics, Electricity/electronics, Pneumatics, Industrial Systems, or Industrial Automation is preferred.

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Day shift, 6:30 am – 7:00 pm (2-2-3 Rotating Schedule)

Greene Resources is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Perform periodic maintenance and systematic improvements on production machinery and equipment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of technical projects.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support to production machinery.
• Change, adjust, and fine-tune packaging machines.
• Monitor equipment operability after machine setting changes or other maintenance activities.
• Assist with inventory management of spare parts.
• Document work performed in the system and report any safety issues.
• Participate in shift handoff meetings.
• Ensure the safe use of machines and tools, and perform calibration activities.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance facilities.
• Perform duties in compliance with all regulatory GMP/FSMA food hygiene practices.

Position Requirements:

• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining robotics, industrial automation, pneumatic conveying systems, and flow wrapping machines (required).
• Proficiency in maintaining production equipment.
• Knowledge of Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC systems.
• Understanding of high-voltage AC and low-voltage DC electrical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics, and perform root cause analysis.
• Forklift/lift truck experience.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
