Mail Courier / Driver Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Mail Courier / Driver to manage and streamline the flow of mail within our large corporate office. This individual will be responsible for screening, sorting, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, as well as making regular post office runs for mail pickup and delivery. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient mail operations and support the administrative needs of the organization. Key Information:

• Monday – Friday
• First Shift, 4:30am to 1:00pm
• Pay rate is $24.71 per hour plus $4.93/hr Health & Welfare
• Benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and Paid Time Off
• Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (Jessup/Columbia/Ft. Meade Area)

Ideal Experience for the Mail Courier / Driver Position:

• Professional driving experience (specifically with box trucks, 14 foot) with companies such as FedEx, UPS, United States Postal Service (USPS) or similar organizations that handle mail/parcel deliveries
• Experience in handling and/or sorting mail and packages
• Forklift Experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering Mail/Packages in the Maryland and Washington DC area (no overnight travel)
• Picking up from carrier locations
• Scanning digital Mail
• Occasionally driving a forklift in a warehouse environment
• Assisting in various duties as assigned
  
   

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift and carry mail and packages up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 pounds]
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Public Trust of Secret Clearance is preferred
• Ability to work independently and reliably
• High school diploma or equivalent
