We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Ocean Freight Coordinator to join our growing logistics team. This position is ideal for someone with 2-5 years of experience in ocean freight coordination who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
- Handle ocean freight shipments (FCL & LCL) from A to Z, ensuring seamless operations and on-time delivery.
- Arrange bookings with ocean carriers and negotiate competitive freight rates.
- Prepare and review essential shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, including U.S. Customs, FMC, and other relevant authorities.
- Collaborate with customs brokers to facilitate timely clearance and delivery of cargo.
- Track and trace shipments, providing timely updates to customers and resolving any delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate records and files for all shipments and transactions.
- Address customer inquiries and provide solutions to any shipping-related challenges.
- Assist in managing relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
- Take a proactive approach to shipment management and problem resolution.
Preferred Skills:
🌐 Ukrainian or Russian language skills are a plus, but not required.
Salary: $45,000 to $55,000 ($22-$27) yearly, plus commission for any new business brought in.
