Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY The primary objective of the Junior Graphic Designer (JGD) is to produce content that represents Feeding South Florida®'s (FSF) brand, championing the voice of the organization and meeting our existing aesthetics while ushering in new and exciting initiatives with appealing designs. The JGD will support the overall marketing strategy, ensuring fluid, dynamic, and creative storytelling with each design.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES - Support FSF's overall marketing strategy including but not limited to developing appeals, social media and eCRM graphics, digital banners, website materials, promotional artwork, flyers, and brochures.
- Consult with stakeholders to discuss and determine design strategy and layout.
- Create concepts, designs, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of graphic design principles yet ensuring aesthetics are in line with the FSF brand.
- Assist in delivering design assets such as logos, and brand assets and communicating brand designs to partners and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain an archive of images, photos, and work produced in the FSF shared file system.
- Additional duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in graphic design or another related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in graphic design.
- Strong understanding of design iteration, organizational identity, product packaging, print, digital advertising, and multimedia design.
- Experience identifying and creating campaigns for specific target audiences.
- Active working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premier) Expert in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Able to utilize Canva on smaller projects with ease.
- Understanding of typography.
- Superior ability to pay attention to details, cross-reference, and proofread work before submission.
- Must have excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to multi-task, follow instructions, complete projects, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Must be able to give and receive constructive criticism with a willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of photography and video production a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS - Hours of Operation: Organization hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., this position may work additional hours occasionally throughout the year, especially during peak times such as holiday seasons, and disaster response.
- Environment: This position works in an office setting with varying periods of standing, talking and/or visual concentration, and use of office equipment. Must maintain office safety standards. Occasional work will occur in the warehouse or outside in fields and warehouses in inclement weather. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Travel: This position may have occasional travel for meetings, conferences, or special events which may require the use of a personal vehicle.
- OSHA Standards Lifting requirements are 50 pounds and when lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load.

Salary: $21.64 - $25.00 hourly
