Overview:
Our client, an innovative biotech company based in Texas, is seeking an experienced Fractional Chief Medical Officer (CMO) on a part-time, contract basis to provide strategic leadership in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. This fully remote position offers 10 hours per week over a 6-month period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee clinical development and research strategies focused on autoimmune and inflammatory diseases
- Guide clinical development planning, including strategy development and revisions
- Manage and supervise the IND process from start to finish
- Collaborate with senior leadership and external stakeholders, including boards, to present clinical findings and strategies
- Support and advise on the clinical development of new treatments for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases
Qualifications:
- MD/PhD (Board Certification in Rheumatology preferred)
- Significant experience in clinical development and research, particularly in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases
- Experience in small biotech or startup environments
- Proven track record in clinical development planning and strategy
- Experience overseeing the IND process
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
