Executive Housekeeper

Private Residence

Lovely executive couple with a beautiful home in Charlottesville, Virginia seeks to hire a well-seasoned, experienced, self-starter, and versatile executive housekeeper/cook. The perfect candidate will have a proven record with references, is passionate about working in a private residence with a large amount of fine furniture, antiques, and rare books, and has a love of cooking for others.

Primary responsibilities will include the daily, deep and specialty cleaning for the home and laundry, as well as help with other organizational and ongoing household projects. This position will also be responsible for planning menus and preparing and serving dinner every weekday evening and on other occasions as requested.

The perfect candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Excellent cleaning, organizational, and cooking skills
• Sound knowledge on proper care protocols with the ability to care for antiques, artwork, fine china, crystal, silver, brass, marble, fine linens, cookware, designer clothing, and specialty fabrics
• Setting a beautiful table and serving a plus
• Professional demeanor and appearance with a positive, pleasant personality
• Discreet and respectful of principals’ privacy
• Ability to be flexible based on needs of principals and household
• Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement
• Long-term intent
• Able to communicate effectively and readily with manager and principals

This position will generally be Monday through Friday, 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with some flexibility to work when the family is entertaining. They will work alongside and report to the house manager.
