Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Consultant to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the organization's resilience in managing disruptions and unplanned events. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in BC/DR processes, a strong understanding of risks and controls in regulated environments, and the ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain BC/DR plans and strategies to safeguard critical business functions during disruptions.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize business and data loss.
• Ensure that BC/DR processes adhere to stringent regulatory requirements, especially in highly regulated Financial Services Industry (FSI) environments.
• Develop, maintain, and manage documentation to evidence the design and operation of controls, ensuring availability for audits or regulatory reviews.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of BC/DR controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to align BC/DR activities with organizational risk management strategies.
• Serve as a liaison during high-pressure scenarios, providing exceptional communication to leadership, team members, and key stakeholders.
• Act as the point of contact for BC/DR efforts during disruptions, ensuring smooth and effective coordination between all involved parties.
• Design and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and simulation exercises to validate BC/DR strategies.
• Document test results and recommend actionable updates or improvements to BC/DR plans and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):

• Understanding of DR in cloud environments, including familiarity with more technical cloud control frameworks.
• Working knowledge of popular platforms such as Archer for risk management and ServiceNow for IT operations and automated workflows.
• Proficiency in designing and executing in-depth test cases for BC/DR planning and validation.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

• Proven experience in BC/DR processes, risk identification, and implementation of mitigating controls.
• Deep understanding of documentation requirements to evidence control operation in regulated environments, particularly within FSI.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively operate in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team and manage relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
