Director of IT
As the Director of IT, you will be a key player in driving our technology initiatives, overseeing the delivery and support of all IT systems, including health information technology and community analytics programs. Reporting directly to the Vice President of IT, you'll be instrumental in shaping our technology strategy, ensuring that our systems meet the latest standards and regulations while aligning with our organizational goals.
In this leadership role, you'll manage relationships with our managed service provider (MSP) and in-house IT support, ensuring optimal resource utilization to enhance efficiency across our clinical and business operations. Your responsibilities will include advancing network technologies, health IT solutions, and data informatics, all while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy: Act as the primary resource for Health and Information Technology (HIT and IT) in strategic planning and program development. Collaborate with the VP of IT and senior management to guide teams in researching, innovating, and implementing new technology solutions.
Project Management: Oversee all Health Information Technology projects from planning through implementation, ensuring an integrated approach that enhances our Electronic Health Systems and other software solutions.
Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with the MSP and IT consultants, leveraging their expertise to achieve strategic goals. Handle IT purchasing, vendor relationships, and budgeting.
Team Development: Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance culture within the IT department. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, supporting their growth and success.
Operational Excellence: Manage the Help Desk, ensure robust system backups and disaster recovery plans, and maintain compliance with PHI-related regulations, including HIPAA.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, network or information science, or healthcare administration.
5+ years of supervisory experience leading high-performing teams, including mentoring and developing talent within the organization.
5+ years of experience in implementing and managing HIT systems.
3+ years of experience with EPIC, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.
Experience with computer information systems, including security, networking, server management, and software application support within a healthcare setting.
Extensive experience working cross-functionally, building collaborative relationships, and interfacing effectively with all levels of the business.
Strong leadership, influencing, negotiation, and planning skills.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and applicable state regulations.
