Schedule: M-F, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM | 9/80 schedule **every other Friday off**

Job Description:

The Data Architect will define the vision, strategy, and implementation of the company’s data infrastructure, ensuring seamless data integration, governance, and accessibility. This role will drive the design and optimization of enterprise data solutions to enhance data-driven decision making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Define and plan database architectures for enterprise systems.
• Work with the business to assess requirements and design an Enterprise Data solution to optimize reporting accuracy and improve operational efficiency.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on data management, emerging technologies, and market trends, advising leadership on best practices.
• Communicate effectively with end-users, support staff, management, and other departments on data-related initiatives.
• Establish and maintain metadata management, data lineage, and cataloging to enhance discoverability and usability.
• Assist other teams with the integration, implementation, and troubleshooting of projects involving local, cloud, and hybrid network services.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to protect data assets and ensure high availability.
• Exercise independent judgment in planning, scheduling, organizing, controlling, and monitoring data-related projects.
• Lead and mentor project leaders and technical staff, managing multiple, complex projects.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technology discipline or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years of experience with enterprise data architecture, database management, and data engineering.
• Proven experience leading data transformation projects from concept to delivery.
• Expertise in relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle, MS SQL, and modern cloud-based solutions (Snowflake, Redshift).
• Deep understanding of SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• 7+ years of experience in database design and modeling.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse/Data Lake design.
• Knowledge in designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, data marts, and lakehouses.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Familiarity with API management and ETL/ELT tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience designing and implementing serverless, high availability, and fault-tolerant data architectures.
• Strong understanding of emerging Cloud Data Technologies.
• Background in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Domo).
• Availability for overtime and on-call shifts.
