Job Description
Seeking a Cisco ACI Engineer for a 6 month W-2 contract position that is 100% onsite in St. Louis, MO. ONLY candidates that currently reside in the St. Louis metro area will be considered.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cisco ACI Engineer to join our dynamic network team. This role focuses on the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of Cisco networking infrastructure—particularly Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)—to support secure and scalable enterprise operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco ACI fabric and traditional Cisco network hardware
- Perform lifecycle activities including onboarding and decommissioning network hardware
- Troubleshoot and optimize dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
- Collaborate with network architecture, security, and cloud teams to support hybrid environments
- Manage migrations, firmware updates, and coordinate responses to planned or unplanned outages
- Execute and document Layer 3 upgrades to ensure robust and future-proof connectivity
- Champion best practices and provide training to internal teams on Cisco ACI tools and methodologies
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco ACI in production environments
- Strong expertise in Layer 2/3 networking and dynamic routing protocols
- Solid understanding of network segmentation, policy-driven networking, and ACI overlays
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset
- Experience working cross-functionally with security, infrastructure, and operations teams
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
