Job Description

Our client focused in pharmaceutical AR&D is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join their team! This role is responsible for conducting laboratory analyses utilizing GC-MS.

Location: Hunterdon County, NJ

Pay: Up to $32/hr

Type: Contract-to-hire

Responsibilities

• Assist chemists with various laboratory tasks.
• Prepare samples, standards, and solutions, including: volumetric and gravimetric preparations, sample extractions
• Set up, calibrate, and operate basic laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Conduct routine laboratory analyses under direct supervision.
• Accurately record and document test results in lab notebooks.
• Clean and maintain glassware, pipettes, and laboratory equipment.
• Manage reagent and sample check-in/check-out processes.
• Order supplies as necessary or inform the supervisor when restocking is needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
• 0-2 years of experience working in an analytical laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry principles.
• Proficient in laboratory safety protocols, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical abilities.
