The Business Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technology teams to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume applications in partnership with all relevant stakeholders
Manage multiple work stream and applications across geographies under Compliance Risk
Contribute to formulation of strategies/processes for Product Roadmap, Development and Governance and contribute to defining standards and new automation initiatives
Develop communication to guide, influence and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and teams
Provide counsel on activities related to the technology operations of the business
Filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy.
Applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices.
Operates as a representative of the product team with development teams
Managing daily activities, while reporting issues and escalating when necessary with transparency.
Leads Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning by owning the sprint coordination of key initiatives and is actively involved in other Scrum ceremonies
Responsible for backlog health, breaking down Epics into User Stories, and defining acceptance criteria for the stories with Product Manager’s guidance
Performs UAT reviews to make sure the user stories are accurately deployed
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication with ability to clearly articulate problem statements and solutions for sr. stakeholders
Candidate must have professional speaking skills
Empathic listener and a persuasive speaker. Ability to speak in large groups with many SMEs in attendance
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills and provide factual statements
Work independently and able to manage and work through ambiguity
Agile mindset: infuse agile principles, practices and methodologies to achieve team success
